About Us

Copeland Hall was erected in 2003 from monies donated by a longtime resident of Bowdon, Georgia, Mr. Willard Copeland. Since its inception Copeland Hall has been a community venue utilized by the citizens and for the citizens of Bowdon and the surrounding area. Copeland is home to the Bowdon Sertoma Concert Series, the annual Son Rise Christmas musical, Miss Merry Christmas Pageant, BHS one-act play, gospel singings and many other local and regional events. Performances at this facility draw visitors from all over the state of Georgia and east Alabama.

Copeland Hall offers 486 reserved seats and 72 general admission seats. It has the capabilities available for presenting concerts, plays, dance recitals, business meetings, beauty pageants and more. The future intent is to present movies for the enjoyment of local residents and to exhibit artwork which will promote our native professional artists and our rising new artists.

Our mission is to encourage the arts through music, visual arts, theater, education and entertainment and to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Bowdon and its visitors.
